Greenpeace is an independent campaigning organisation, which uses creative confrontation to protect Earth’s ability to nurture life in all its diversity. Joining Greenpeace puts you at the centre of the fight for the environment against big polluters and climate change.

The deep sea is a treasure of biodiversity and home to untold wonders and possibilities. Right now, mining companies from the Global North are trying to plunder these pristine ocean depths, exploring the deep waters of the Pacific and developing technologies to exploit the seafloor.

Many of our Pacific neighbours are calling for a moratorium to protect their waters from deep sea mining. Greenpeace Aotearoa and allies across the world are working to bring an end to this destructive industry before it starts.

The New Zealand Government has heard our call and come out in support of a “precautionary pause” and now is the time to build up the global campaign pressure, which is why we are looking for a skilled multimedia content producer to join our team, and use their powers for good.

Working within the Greenpeace Aotearoa team they will join the global campaign to stop deep sea mining, particularly centring Tangata o le moana and indigenous voices. They are primarily responsible for delivering multimedia content to deliver on the communication and engagement objectives of the campaign.

You will have the ability to write and follow a clear creative brief, have photoshop skills, the knack for producing and publishing excellent content for social media, excellent communication skills and copy writing ability, and experience with testing and optimisation methodology. Proficiency in Te Reo Māori, or other Pacific language(s) and culture would be an advantage.
