ABOUT THE ROLE

Greenpeace is looking for an experienced fundraising leader to join the team as Philanthropy and Supporter Relations Manager. A key member of the fundraising leadership team, you will hold responsibility for leading our Philanthropy programmes, consisting of Major Gifts, Middle Giving and Legacy Giving. In addition, the role will be responsible for the Greenpeace Supporter Relations team which provides informed and energetic interactions with supporters and the general public across multiple channels.


ABOUT YOU

The ideal person for this role will be someone with experience in leading a team in individual high-value fundraising or sales and proven experience in providing programmes to deliver outstanding customer care and donor/customer-centred experiences.

Greenpeace is completely funded by generous individual donors and a small number of trusts and foundations. It takes no funding from governments or corporations so an understanding of individual giving fundraising in the New Zealand context would be desirable.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • At least 3 years experience in Major giving fundraising - ideally in individual giving.

  • Three years leadership and management experience.

  • Experience in delivering supporter-centric programmes that drive engagement and retention.

  • Experienced relationship manager, ideally with high net-worth individuals.

  • Digitally focused in strategy development.

  • Budgeting, monitoring and reporting experience.

  • Experienced in using data to drive strategy and comfortable analysing data for insights.

  • Experience using CRM’s and other digital engagement platforms

When you work for Greenpeace Aotearoa, you join a global network of people fighting to protect the environment for future generations to come. Our salaries are competitive with the not-for-profit sector and the range for this role is $95000- $102000, with final salary based on experience. This is a full time position (37.5hrs per week) based in Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland).
